Our Projects

  • Advocate and partner

    General advocacy project in Bexley and Bromley

    Supports people who meet the criteria for a social service. Many people live in a residential or supported living setting and many people go to day centres.

  • Advocacy for people with Autism and Asperger's Syndrome

      Bromley Sparks

      A speaking up group for people with a learning difficulty.

      Most of our members do not receive services from Social Services.

      Bromley Sparks offers encouragement and support to people to speak up for themselves and make their own choices.

      Young Sparks

      For young people 18 to 25 who want to gain the confidence to speak up for themselves.

      Young Sparks have meetings and go on social outings.

    • Bexley Speaking Up group

      Bexley Speaking Up Group

      A group for people who live in Bexley, travel independently and who do not live in a residential home and who do not use day services

    • Bromley Speaking Up

      A Speaking Up group for people living in supported living or who will be moving soon.

    • Speaking Up in Schools

      Young people with a learning disability are supported to run their own Speaking Up groups in 3 schools in Bromley

What are our plans?

We want to:

  • Make sure everyone has access to advocacy and self advocacy in Bexley and Bromley
  • Keep people with a learning disability or autism as our main focus but also look at other opportunities for providing advocacy
  • Get more people with a learning disability involved in planning and monitoring the work we do
  • Employ more people with a learning disability
  • Work in other areas
